Meretz USA (soon to be Partners for Progressive Israel) is is seeking a Development & Fundraising Intern for the 2011 fall semester. This is an unpaid part-time position. Interns can receive academic credit with prior arrangement with their college/university. The Development & Fundraising Intern will support the fundraising work of the Meretz USA/Partners staff and board.
Tasks
Include:
- Researching and documenting
foundational giving and potential donors

Writing grants
and proposals for funding
Qualifications:
- Current college student or recent grad

Energetic,
organized, self-starter, strong analytical skills, good written and oral
communication skills, works well both independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office
Suite, on-line research, and new media/social networking web 2.0 platforms

Some experience
with researching foundational giving and grant writing preferred
- Strong commitment to social justice
issues in Israel and Meretz USA's positions on those issues
- Familiarity with the Middle East peace
process, Israeli society and politics, and social justice and human rights
preferred
