Dina
has had a strong connection to
Israel for over
30 years. As a foundation director and program consultant, she has had
significant experience in the Jewish foundational world. Her work experience
includes creating and directing the Dorot Fellowship in
Israel for the
Dorot Foundation, working on environmental issues in
Israel with The
Saul Z. and Amy S. Cohen Foundation, and developing support for Israeli Jewish
identity-building at the Slifka Foundation. Dina lived in Kiryat Gat working
with Russian immigrants, studied Hebrew and Arabic at
Hebrew
University, and lived for two years
in the Israeli Palestinian Muslim town of
Tamra in the Western
Galilee, building projects of cooperation between Jewish and Arab
citizens of
Israel for the
organization Interns for Peace. Dina earned her B.A. from Brown University and
her M.A. from the Jewish Theological Seminary. She is also a classical flutist,
and lives in NYC.
